Addie and the Beanstalk
Once
upon a time, Addie was climbing on a beanstalk. She climbed and she climbed and
she climbed. She climbed through the soft white clouds and when she reached the
top of the beanstalk, she found cupcakes! Yummy cupcakes!
“Yummy
in my tummy cupcakes!” she exclaimed. She put a bunch of cupcakes in her Dora
backpack and climbed back down the beanstalk. She invited all of her friends
over to share the cupcakes at a tea party. Harlow, Scarlett, Haven, Phyllis,
Elliott, Aunt Becky, Kali, and DC were all there. Everybody ate cupcakes and
drank tea until it was time to go home.
Addie,
Haven, Elliott, Harlow, Scarlett, Phyllis, Kali, DJ, and Aunt Becky went home
an d lived happily ever after.

Fell Asleep in the Car

“Will you
please go out of the kitchen, Emmy. I need to open the oven to take out the
Woody cookies,” Addie said.
“Mmm! Those
smell good!” Emmy said as she jumped out of the kitchen.
When the
cookies cooled, Addie and Emmy carefully placed four of them in a box for their
friends Harlow and Scarlett.
Soon it was
time to go, so Daddy buckled Emmy in her car seat nice and tight for safety. As
soon as he backed the car out of the driveway, Emmy was zonked out!
BUMP!
The ice had
cracked the road, and Emmy bumped her head on the cookie box when Daddy hit the
pot hole.
“Beek! Beek!
Beek!” Emmy cried.
Daddy handed
Emmy her blue Boo Boo Bunny and she held it against her noggin. Soon she felt
much better, and just in time! They had arrived at Harlow and Scarlett’s house!
Emmy skipped to
the door and handed the cookies to her friends who were waiting with smiles.
“Ooh! Thank
you, Emmy! I can’t wait to have one!” her friends said.
“Enjoy! See you
later, alligators!”
“After awhile, crocodile!”
they waved back as Emmy hopped back to the car.
Daddy buckled
her in and said, “You should probably try to stay awake on the drive home,
Emmy.”
“Probably,”
Emmy replied. And she did.

Once upon a time,
there was a skinny brown bunny named Beeps who shed her fur every season for a
shiny new coat. One year during fall, Beeps shed her fur and before she could
grow her new coat, it snowed one whole foot, covering the ground with a sparkly
white freezing blanket.
Beeps couldn’t’
get out of bed without her teeth chattering so much they sounded like a train. Clickety clack! Clickety clack! Her
friends felt sad for her, so they talked to Lamby about his wool.
“Baa baa Lamby,
have you any wool?”
“Yes, Emmy, yes,
Speedy, three bags full. One for my Addie; one just to keep. One for my new
friends to knit a sweater for Beeps!”
Emmy, Speedy, and
Honks worked really hard to knit with tiny knitting needs and made a beautiful
sweater for Beeps.
“Surprise!” they
shouted as they burst into her room one morning, holding up the gift.
“Oh thank you!”
Beeps exclaimed as she pulled the cream colored sweater over her long ears.
She was so overwhelmed
with love and joy that her heart made an imprint on her sweater. From that day
on, Beeps wore her sweater over her various coats because it kept her warm
inside and out.

How Emmy Got Purple Whiskers

It all
started one Saturday afternoon in January when Grandpa gave Emmy and her
friends to Addie Lu. Shortly after Emmy’s move, Addie taught her how to play
Ring Around the Roses. Emmy played and played this new game with her friends
Fred, Beep, and Deep.
One
time, as “they all fell down,” Emmy saw a quilt of tiny deep purple berries.
“Look!” Emmy exclaimed. “Berries! BLUE berries!”
“Yum!”
“My
favorite!”
“Oh la
la!”
The
friends ran to the blueberry patch and ate and ate until they fell asleep with
tummies full and faces covered with the small treats.
They
slept really well and when they woke up, they were purple! Emmy tried to wipe
the purple off, and she scrubbed and scrubbed and scrubbed and scrubbed with
Dora soap in the bath, but the purple wouldn’t come off of her nose and
whiskers.
To this
day, Emmy’s nose and whiskers are as purple as a plum, and she still falls
asleep eating blueberries in the patch.
Emmy and Friends Find Honks

Friends Find Honks
One spring day
not so long ago, Emmy searched for her friend Honks. She looked in the dog
kennels, but Honks wasn't there.
She looked in
Addie’s Dora backpack, but Honks wasn’t there either.
Emmy checked
under Addie’s Hungry Caterpillar bed, but still no Honks!
Next, Emmy asked
Speedy and Beeps to help look for Honks and they searched everywhere.
“Where could he
be?” asked Beeps.
“I don’t know,
but I’m getting worried,” Emmy replied.
When Emmy,
Speedy, and Beeps all met in the office, they looked in the back of the tricycle
and voila! Honks!
“Yay! We missed
you Honks!” Speedy, Beeps, and Emmy shouted.

Emmy Eats Lunch
Emmy ate her lunch of fish sticks and mac and
cheese and beans. After her lunch, Emmy played outside with Uncle Chris, Aunt
Becky, Mike and Uncle Greg. They played hide and seek. Emmy hid really well
down the stairs out back. At the end of the day, they took a bath and went to
bed. Night night!
